LA COMPANYIA DE TERPSÍCORE is a new and original idea carried out by the ballerina Silvia Riutort and theharpsichordist Javier Núñez who, by means of an exhaustive research of the sources of the epoch, tries to form the narrow link that was joining the music with the dance in the XVIIth and XVIIIth century; concretly in the French court during the extensive reign (1654-1715) of Louis XIV.
LA COMPANYIA DE TERPSÍCORE tries to recover the interesting cultural patrimony that turns around the dance and the French music from the XVIIth and XVIIIth century. So, there offers a program in which there is revealed the correspondence of the typical dances from the baroque French music - that shape the suite - with the specific steps of dance for each of them, codified in numerous treatises and preserved in the shape of choreographies, in called "Recueils of dance" or selections of different dances composed expressly for his diffusion. It is necessary to emphasize the authors Louis Pécour (1653-1729) and Raoul-Auger Feuillet (1659-1710).
