During the baroque period we find numerous publications that have in his title the Armonico adjective referring to what Monteverdi defined the use of a melody as the second practice, that is to say, with an accompaniment semi-unexpected and continuo figuring. The Spanish teacher Lorenzo Fernandez of Avila requests in 1755 the king Fernando VI who allows to him to construct in one of the rooms of the palace a Gabinete Armonico, in which they would install symmetrically statues that would be to play with all naturalness diverse types of instruments: harpsicord, psalter, tiorba, bassoon, flute, etc...
Gabinete Armonico possesses a wide and interesting repertory where combine the musicology with the most alive interpretation. Specially interested in the Spanish Cantata of the XVIIIth century, they have taken to end monographic programs of great success as the dedicated ones to the cantatas of Rincón de Astorga (International Festival of Sajazarra; Cycle “Los Siglos de Oro”), to Jose Torres's music, to the composer Jaime de la Té y Sagau, or instrumental programs dedicated to the Spanish and European music, of double-bass of authors as Jaime Facco, Caporale, Caldara, etc.
Likewise it is of distinguishing the wide experience from each one from his components in the early music, intervening in a regular way in formations so important as: Le Concerts des Nations, Ensemble Elyma, Ensemble S.E.M.A, Orphenica Lyra, La Real Cámara, Capilla Peñaflorida, Accentus, etc ... and in record labels as Naxos, Dorian, Glissando, Annotation, Verse.
