Since 1990, the date of its founding, the Ensemble CINCO SIGLOS (Five Centuries) is dedicated to the study and dissemination of instrumental repertoire from the Middle Ages to the eighteenth century. The results of these works have been numerous concerts, several phonographic recordings and various scientific publications.
The recitals of CINCO SIGLOS, such as Medieval Triptych, Dances of the Middle Ages European, Bel Fiore Dança, or Medieval music or the eastern Mediterranean, have been brought successfully to the most prestigious European festivals: Royaumont, Chateau de la Roche-Guyon, Bologna , Segovia, Torrechiara, Thoronet.
The Ensemble CINCO SIGLOS has done many recordings of great recognition by the public and criticism. They have done recordings for radio and television, and had worked on the latest film by Carlos Saura, Iberia. The investigations (on inventories, organology, musical iconography, etc.) have been reported by various publications of the highest prestige. |
